Bible Study Ministry

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:19-20

The Education ministry at Nassau Bay Baptist Church is a ministry of Edification. Simply put, we desire to "build up" or edify people. We accomplish that task by:

REACHING - all people with the true love of Jesus Christ.

CONNECTING - people to the church through dynamic friendship relationships.

GROWING - people in the knowledge of God through Bible Study.

EXPERIENCING - ministry together in Clear Lake and around the world.

HONORING - God with our lives and encouraging others to honor God.

Sunday School

Join us every Sunday morning for relevant Bible study that is applicable to your life. We have classes for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, children, students and adults. Come study the Bible with people your own age that have life experiences in common with your life. Visit the Welcome Center in our foyer to choose what class you would like to attend. Whether you are single, married or just looking for a place to belong, we have a Bible Study Class for You!

How Do I Find My Class?

To find your class, simply stop by the Welcome Center in the foyer of our building. You will be met by a staff of greeters who will be happy to assist you and your family. They will ask you your name, age and if you have a preference of co-ed, women's or men's classes. We urge you to try several until you find the one that is best suited for you. When you have chosen a class, the greeter will personally escort you and your family to one of the departments listed below:

Commonly Asked Questions:

What do I study? Our classes are involved in direct Bible Study, taking a portion of scripture and discovering its meaning and application.
Can I ask questions? Please do! While a few of our classes are more lecture-oriented, all of our Bible Study leaders want your input and participation.
What if I don't know about the Bible? You don't have to! You don't have to read anything, find anything or quote anything. Just sit back and relax. You will be around other people just like you who desire to learn the Word of God and make new friends.
How long does a Bible study class last? The class lasts from 9:00 to about 10:30 on Sunday mornings. That includes the first few minutes for food and drinks, information, announcements and praise music, and about 35 to 40 minutes study time.
Do we go together or separate? Each age group from married to to age 70+ may select from a co-ed class, a women's or men's class. We also offer a College and Career Class as well as one for Single Adults age 35 and older. Whatever your preference, there is an age group available for you.
What do I do with my kids? They have Bible Study too. From newborns to Seniors in High School, your children will enjoy classes decorated with their specific age in mind and led by adults trained to teach with all the care and concern your children deserve.
